Today Global warming has left us with only three months of effective winter and two months of good rains out of 12 and the rest of the year is all about either heat or humidity with varying degrees. This heat and humidity are not only irritating, but also bad for something as essential as makeup. As a girl you can’t afford your makeup to melt due to the hotness or smudge due to the moisture in the air and to take care of that you would do anything. Well, you do not have to go to extremes for that, rather here are a few waterproof makeup tips which got you all covered:
1. Light makeup- For such days hot or humid days, the best things is to lighten up on your makeup. Get rid of heavy foundations and concealers, instead use tinted moisturizers.
2. Stains- Your face would cake up with all that powder on a hot day. Swap the powder in your makeup kit for stains on such days.
3. Use multi-benefit products- It is not only the waterproof makeup products you need but, try to get products that give multiple benefits to you like conditioning and no smudging etc.
4. Primer- Primer is the best thing to use on hot and humid days. Primer helps in holding your makeup in place and although it would add more step to your makeup routine, it is worth.
5. SPF- A sunscreen is a must for the sunny days. There are primers available with SPF in the market and what could be better than a primer which also protects your skin.
6. Layer your lashes- Layering your eyelashes with double mascara could beat the seasonal atrocities. The best way is to use one layer of non-waterproof mascara and adding another layer of waterproof mascara.
7. Oil-free products- To set the pitch all clean for a long-lasting makeup, you need to drop all the oil based product like moisturizers etc.
8. Blotting paper- A sunny day could leave an unwanted shine on your face. Always carry blotting papers that would remove the extra shining.
9. Illuminators- There are various products that enhance the luminescence on your face but using them in summers could make you extra shinier. Avoid using such illuminators.
10. Removal- Well, so far we have seen all the goodies waterproof products give but there is a flip side to it. Removing waterproof makeup could be a real pain. Use something oily to remove that long lasting stuff.
