1. Round

Perhaps the most classic style of specs dating back to the birth of glasses and yet you would find them in vogue. It has been time and again made trending, also known as ‘John Lennon glasses’ as The Beatles’ member made the round frames immortal. Round frames are yet known by another name- Steampunk glasses chronicling the steampunk era.

2. Browline

Browline glasses trended in the 1950-60’s especially in the US. Just like round frames browline also never got off the hook. Browline glasses typically are half-rimmed; with rimless at the sides and bottom of the lenses. They resurfaced in the 1980’s with Ray-Ban introducing them as Clubmasters which eventually became a generic style. And here we are in the 2000s witnessing again the resurgence of Browlines/Clubmasters.

3. Aviator

The most iconic glares are the Aviators. Also known as pilot’s glasses they were primarily designed for pilots by Bausch & Lomb and that gave them the name ‘Aviators’. 1986 movie Top Gun made the style as a classic. The craze for Aviators have always been the same, and today right from a teenage boy to a seasoned man, everyone wishes to have their Aviators.

4. Wayfarer

Just like Aviator, Wayfarer is another most successful sunglasses style of Ray-Ban. In the 1980’s TV and movies in the US showcased Wayfarer widely. 1983 Tom Cruise movie Risky Business skyrocketed the sales of Wayfarer and made it the most loved style. In 2000s Wayfarer underwent design changes and were resurrected. Once again, the style became popular and is still ruling the market.

5. Holbrook

They are the sporty of the lot. Holbrook frames are lighter than its contemporaries. Often accompanied by mirror lenses, Holbrook are the more casual.
